Higher Education Students’ Online Instruction Perceptions: A Quality Virtual Learning Environment

Online instruction has been one of the key delivery methods in midst COVID-19 pandemic due to school closures around globe. In accordance with Malaysia Education Blueprint (2013–2025), maximizing use information/communication technology emphasized scale up learning quality across Malaysia, including distance and self-paced learning. However, online country is at its infancy stage raised issues, causing dropping-out leaving higher education. To improve teaching quality, this scoping review aimed explore education students’ perceptions into two main components: research on followed by factors influencing perceptions. Using Arksey O’Malley (2005)’s methodological framework, 61 articles related were identified from Google Scholar, ERIC, Research Gate databases. terms theoretical articles, results showed that cognitivism, connectivism, constructivism most used theories instruction.
